Frequently Asked Dental Questions

We hear interesting questions every day, so we thought it would be helpful to include some of the most common ones right here. In order to view the answers, simply click on the frequently asked dental questions below. If we haven’t answered your particular question, please contact us today and ask. We’re more than happy to offer you any information you need. There’s no such thing as a silly question, so if you want to know anything, feel free to ask!

How often should I visit the dentist?

This will depend on your particular situation, but on average, Dr. Clifton Baldwin recommends that patients of all ages should visit the dentist for a routine checkup and cleaning at least twice a year. This is often enough that our team will be able to catch most dental problems early and stop them in their tracks.

Can you fix my broken/decayed teeth?

We can, and we actually have a number of restorative treatments that are specifically designed to repair your teeth and make them look better than ever. For small flaws, we may choose to use tooth-colored fillings, but for a more damaged tooth, we might use a dental crown. In the end, no matter what your smile needs to look its best, we’ll always have it here.

What can you do about my severe toothache?

Unless you’ve just suffered a dental injury, this is most likely due to a cavity. In that case, we can usually fix it using a small filling. However, if the cavity has reached the innermost part of your tooth, we may need to perform a root canal. Despite its bad reputation, a root canal is now a practically painless procedure, and they are one of the best ways we can relieve the worst dental pain and save a tooth that would otherwise need to be removed.

Can you replace my missing teeth?

Yes, and we actually have a number of ways we can do it. We offer a variety of treatments such as dental bridges, dentures, and dental implants. Whether you are missing a single tooth or an entire row, we can help give you a natural-looking smile that will also make it much easier for you to eat and speak.

Can you improve the appearance of my smile?

Yes we can, and we have an entire category of treatments that we use specifically for that purpose. Whether you want a subtle touch-up or a complete makeover, our cosmetic dentistry treatments can provide it. In fact, we’re even offering a free cosmetic consultation for new patients who are curious about exploring their options.

Help, I just knocked out a tooth! What should I do?!

Try to find the tooth if you can and only pick it up by the crown. Then, call Dream Smile Team as soon as you can, and we’ll set an appointment to see you as soon as possible. We’re the best place for you to go if you hope to have the tooth replanted and saved.

Will you accept my dental insurance?

We will accept many PPO insurance plans, and we will always work with your provider to help maximize your benefits. However, we are not an in-network provider for any plan because we believe insurance shouldn’t dictate the quality of your care.
